The 2014 Ba re e ne re Literature Festival is dedicated to Liepollo Rantekoa. It was Liepollo who first launched Ba re e ne re in 2011 as a literary arts organisation to promote Basotho storytelling and the cultures of reading and writing in Lesotho.
After Liepollo’s tragic passing in 2012, we, her friends and family came together to carry on the important work she began. We are committed to making this festival a success in her honour and because we believe strongly in her vision for a more literate, creative and innovative Lesotho.
