Ba re e ne re has partnered with friends; Selemela, Mokoari Productions, Botšonyana and The Covid update Lesotho to develop a digital platform called Mohloling (the Source) that contextualises, simplifies and presents complex stories impacting the livelihoods of Basotho.

The content we produce is factual, research-based and witty storytelling that leverages on sarcasm, inquiry and observations to serve an educational and entertainment value for viewers. On one hand the platform will serve people who are interested in current affairs, policy and social welfare in Lesotho in comparison or contrast to the global context. on the other hand it casts a light on stories in Lesotho that otherwise remain privileged to a few.

Over time, the format and focus of the show has shifted towards advocacy for education access, through putting a spotlight on practices identified by the Selemela team as crucial to the challenge within the Lesotho context. This shift allows for a separation between the advocacy work Selemela is doing (under the programme: The Learning Network) and the critique on current affairs that are capturing people’s attention that initially set us on this course. More updates on this development will be coming soon.
